  • Discover Rome’s history and culture - Take an Ancient Rome Tour of the Coliseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill. Walk to iconic places like the Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona, and the Trevi Fountain. We will learn about the rich history of Rome and see these incredible sites up close.

  • Explore Loreto - Visit our sister school inspired by the educational vision of GK Chesterton and experience the beautiful town of Loreto.

Dates of this pilgrimage are:
March 18-28, 2020 - 11 days/10 nights

  • Day 1: Wednesday, March 18 - Depart U.S. (Minneapolis-St. Paul gateway) and fly to Rome.

  • Day 2: Thursday, March 19 (D) - Arrive in Rome and transfer to guesthouse. Welcome dinner and overnight in Rome.

  • Day 3: Friday, March 20 (B, L, D) - Enjoy Roman churches and highlights, including visits to St. John Lateran, the Scala Sancta (“Holy Stairs”), the Passion Relics at Santa Croce, Mary Major, Santa Prassede, the original Our Lady of Perpetual Help icon in Sant’Alfonso di Liguori, the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Revelation, Borghese Gardens, Spanish Steps, Sant’Andrea delle Fratte, Trevi Fountain, and Santi Apostoli. Overnight in Rome.

  • Day 4: Saturday, March 21 (B, L, D) - Ancient Rome Tour, including the Coliseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill. After lunch, explore the early Christian catacombs and St. Paul Outside the Walls. Overnight in Rome.

  • Day 5: Sunday, March 22 (B, L, D) - Full day in Rome, including Santo Spirito, the Papal Angelus in St. Peter’s Square, Santa Cecilia, and visits to the Pontifical North American College for Vespers (men) and the Missionaries of Charity (women). Overnight in Rome.

  • Day 6: Monday, March 23 (B, L, D) - A walking pilgrimage of Roman churches and highlights, including Santa Maria Sopra Minerva, Sant’Ignazio, Chiesa Nuova, Gesù, Pantheon, and Piazza Navona. Overnight in Rome.

  • Day 7: Tuesday, March 24 (B, L, D) -  All day in Vatican City, including St. Peter’s Basilica, the Vatican Museum, and Scavi Tour (pending availability). Overnight in Rome.

  • Day 8: Wednesday, March 25 (B, L, D) - Experience the Universal Church at the Papal Audience with the Holy Father (pending the Holy Father’s schedule). Depart for Loreto. Overnight in Loreto.

  • Day 9: Thursday, March 26 (B, L, D) - Visit to Scuola Libera G.K. Chesterton in San Benedetto del Tronto. Overnight in Loreto.

  • Day 10: Friday, March 27 (B, L, D) - All day in Loreto. Farewell dinner, then board bus for overnight bus transfer to Rome airport.

  • Day 11: Saturday, March 28 (B) - Transfer to Rome airport. Depart for U.S. (Minneapolis-St. Paul gateway).

(B,L,B) denotes meals (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) which are included in the package. Itinerary is subject to change.

  • Bellman and chambermaid gratuities, as well as luggage handling

  • Recommended travel insurance (optional add-on)

  • Anything else not explicitly mentioned as included


REGISTRATION

 

Estimated final cost of this pilgrimage is $2,998 per person.

The registration deadline is October 15, 2019.

  • Land-only package: $2,998 per person

    Save $700 per person

*Quoted rates may fluctuate based on accommodation selection and availability. Also, airline taxes and fees may fluctuate until flights are ticketed (about 30 days prior to departure). Any excess fees levied by the airlines beyond the original total price at time of booking will be the responsibility of each pilgrim. Also, quoted prices are based on the current exchange rate of 1 EURO to $1.13 U.S. dollars. Final price may fluctuate based on final exchange rates when travel vendors finalize payments (typically between 30- 90 days prior to departure). Rates also assume a minimum of 50 full-paying pilgrims and a maximum of 75 full-paying pilgrims.

Payment Schedule

  • Deposit - $300 due upon registration

  • December 10, 2019 - Final balance

How do I pay?

  • Deposit of $300 due upon registration and can be paid via credit card or debit card online.

  • For the final balance, invoices will be emailed directly to each pilgrim and can be paid directly online with a credit card. You can also mail us a check (payable to “Verso Ministries LLC”) at: P.O. Box 986, Notre Dame, IN 46556

What is your cancellation policy?

All cancellations of individual pilgrims must be made in writing (email or letter) to Verso Ministries.

  • 91 days or more from departure: $150 per person

  • 90-31 days prior to departure: $300 per person

  • 30-15 days prior to departure: $500 per person

  • 14-7 days prior to departure: $1,000 per person

  • 6 days or less: No refund given

Any cancellation charges incurred from other supplies or vendors (flight, lodging, ground transportation, etc.) may come in addition to the administrative fees listed above. Cancellation fees are for individual pilgrims.
