  • Try new experiences - Try a Greek cooking class. Hike the Meteora rock formations. Visit the unique archaeological museum of Olympia.

Dates of this pilgrimage are:
March 7-15, 2020 - 9 days/8 nights

  • Day 1: Saturday, March 7 - Depart U.S.

  • Day 2: Sunday, March 8 (D) - Arrive in Athens and Mass at local church (pending). Transfer to hotel for check-in and welcome dinner. Overnight in Athens.

  • Day 3: Monday, March 9 (B, D) - Visit Cathedral Basilica of St. Dionysius the Areopagite (pending). Guided tour of the Acropolis, including Temple of Athena Nike, Erectheum, Propylae, Parthenon, and the Areopagus. Continue to Panathenaic Stadium, Temple of Zeus and Hadrian’s Arch. Afternoon city tour, including National Gardens, Parliament, tomb of the Unknown Soldier, University of Athens, and National Library. Explore the neighborhood of Plaka, including exterior views of Byzantine churches. Free time in the evening and dinner at hotel. Overnight in Athens.

  • Day 4: Tuesday, March 10 (B, D) - Morning visit to Corinth with guided tour of ancient city following St. Paul’s path, including the Corinthian Acropolis, Temple of Apollo, Fountain of Peirene, and the Agora, where St. Paul was tried by Gallio. Brief stop at ancient port of Kechries, where St. Paul sailed to Ephesus. Continue to Epidaurus to discover the UNESCO site, including the temple of Asklepios, the Tholos and Theatre, and more. Transfer to Nafplion hotel for check-in and dinner. Overnight in Nafplion.

  • Day 5: Wednesday, March 11 (B, D) - Morning guided walking tour of Nafplion. Afternoon transfer to Olympia through the Arcadia mountains. Interactive traditional Greek cooking class with chef for dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in Patra.

  • Day 6: Thursday, March 12 (B, D) - Experience Ancient Olympia, including the Olympic stadium, gymnasium, nymphaeum, main stadium, and Zeus and Hera Temples. Guided tour of archeaological museum, including famous statues of Hermes and Nike of Victory. Transfer to Delphi and dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in Delphi.

  • Day 7: Friday, March 13 (B, D) -  Morning tour of Ancient Delphi, including the Castalian Spring, momument for the Argive Kings, treasury of the Athenians, Athenian Stoa, Polygonal Wall, monument of Platea and Temple of Apollo. Visit Delphi Museum to see exhibits, including frieze of the Treasury of the Sifnians, Naxian Sphinx, Statue of Antinoos, metopes of the Athenian treasury, and the bronze Charioteer. Transfer to Kalambaka and dinner at hotel. Overnight in Kalambaka.

  • Day 8: Saturday, March 14 (B, D) - Journey far above the mountain villages and visit two of the six surviving monasteries. Climb the Meteora formations on a 2-hour guided hike. Transfer to Athens. Vigil Mass (pending) and farewell dinner at hotel. Overnight in Athens.

  • Day 9: Sunday, March 15 (B, D) - Depart Athens and arrive in the U.S.

  • 150 days prior - $1000 per person (October 9, 2019)

  • 120 days prior - $1000 per person (November 8, 2019)

  • 90 days prior - $1000 per person (December 8, 2019)

  • 60 days prior - Balance (January 7, 2020)

How do I pay?

  • Verso Ministries will administer registration and payment collection from individual pilgrims. Registration can be done directly on the Verso Ministries website whereby pilgrims can make their initial $300 deposit using a debit/credit card or electronic bank transfer.

  • All following payments would be accepted via online electronic bank transfer, check, money order, or debit/credit card.

What is your cancellation policy?

All cancellations of individual pilgrims must be made in writing (email or letter) to Verso Ministries.

  • 91 days or more from departure: $150 per person

  • 90-31 days prior to departure: $300 per person

  • 30-15 days prior to departure: $500 per person

  • 14-7 days prior to departure: $1,000 per person

  • 6 days or less: No refund given
